NCL unveils eye-catching ship design

Leonardo-class features forward-facing bow
An eye-catching forward-facing bow is among the features of the new ship design for Norwegian Cruise Line’s Project Leonardo-class ships.
The sleek new prototype created by Italian shipbuilder Fincantieri has a bow that appears to slice through the waves.
It is one of a series of design features created to make the new vessels more efficient, optimising fuel consumption and reducing the impact on the environment.
Four of the ships have been ordered, each to carry 3,300 passengers and be delivered by 2022, with options for two more for 2026 and 2027.
“The new, breath-taking design will offer our guests a flexible on-board experience with an incredible array of offerings and further integrates inside and outside spaces, so they feel more connected with the sea,” claims Christian Böll, NCL’s managing director for Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
