Most travel websites state false prices

Online booking services in EU mislead, says Commission
A majority of websites used for booking travel are misleading consumers over prices, the European Commission says, while not naming names.
In a survey of 352 online travel booking and price comparison services, the commission found that two-thirds provide misleading information on prices breach EU consumer protection rules.
A third of them show initial prices that are not the final prices and a fifth display promotional offers that are not really available.
One in four falsely claim there are only a limited amount of seats or rooms left at a certain price – in reality this only applies to those remaining on the website itself.
The commission warned it may take legal action if companies fail to improve.
