More travel chaos in France strike

Flights routed through French airspace cancelled
Airlines flying through French airspace have had to cancel flights for Thursday as air traffic controllers in France stage their 14th round of strikes this year.
Among the worst-hit airlines are low-cost carriers like Ryanair, which cancelled 22 flights on Wednesday night and 72 on Thursday.
Any flights that normally route through French airspace are affected. British Airways said it could not say how many flights would be hit, as information goes out of date so quickly. It added that it would use larger aircraft to help customers hit by cancellations and delays.
Ryanair was more vocal: “This French […] strike will impact hundreds of thousands of European consumers and throw their travel plans into chaos once more. It’s high time that the European Commission takes action to prevent these repeated […] strikes from continuously disrupting the travel plans of millions of Europe’s citizens and their families.”
