MGallery has just announced that it has created an unrivalled choice of amenities, “Inspired by her”, in 4 pilot hotels in France: the Carlton in Lyons, Grand Hôtel in Cabourg, Grand Hôtel Roi René in Aix en Provence and Hôtel Baltimore in Paris.

These all-new treats in luxury and upscale hotels started with two facts: 43% of business travelers are women, and women make 75% of holiday-related decisions. “Inspired by her”, in other words, is not just a fad: it is a need that MGallery teams identified when they met women customers, hotel general managers and key travel sector players.

The brand also used a survey by the Women At Accor Generation (WAAG) network among 250 Le Club Accorhotels members. Women travelers shared three concerns: they want to feel safe and comfortable, enjoy places that envelop them in a feeling of well-being and pamper them with complimentary treats for women and items they might forget, and value a generous choice of balanced, wholesome meals.

Caring touches

MGallery has decided to address all those concerns with a choice of amenities throughout the customer experience. As soon as a guest arrives, she is given a leaflet presenting all the available services and products. Then, she can choose what room size and location she prefers – subject to availability – and she’ll have robes and slippers in her size, a full length mirror, a wide range of herbal teas, etc

To take this one step further, hotels also sell Wolford hosiery, manicure kits, a variety of creams and a choice of treatments, in association with OhMyCream! upscale beauty products and net à porter.

The room-service menus feature soups, salads, fresh fruit and other balanced treats. Yoga mats, dumbbells, smoothing iron, women’s magazines for breakfast and a plethora of other special touches complete this unrivalled choice.

“Most luxury and upscale hotels were designed by men for men. But the number of women guests in luxury and upscale hotels has tripled over the past decade. MGallery is a daring and caring brand, and this is its way of showing it cares about a growing customer base, with exclusive services and little touches. Because care for details makes all the difference in this segment,” explains Julie Grégoire, HotelServices France’s SVP in charge of Luxury and Upscale operations.

“Inspired by Her” reached four pilot hotels in France – the Hôtel Baltimore in Paris, Grand Hôtel Roi René in Aix en Provence, Grand Hôtel in Cabourg and Carlton in Lyons – on 13 January 2014. The goal is to provide this service in the 70 hotels in the network by the end of the year.
