Marketing idea: “reality show” recruitment


Potential employees endure casting sessions and panels

In an event reminiscent of a TV reality show, potential recruits are competing to work at the new hotel W Singapore Sentosa Cove – Starwood’s first W hotel in Singapore. The property, which needs to recruit more than 200 employees, is scheduled to open in August. It has invited candidates to what it calls Night Casting events in Singapore’s Fort Canning Park. It is hoped that their personalities will emerge during a series of casting sessions and interviews led by a panel of judges.
“The W brand is all about dynamism and innovation,” General Manager Stephane Fabregoul said. “We’re searching for individuals with a unique and outgoing personality that will complement the exuberance of the brand and cultivate a bold, sparkling environment for W Singapore.”
