Major hotel chain unveils spa brand in China

Hilton Guangzhou Tianhe now boasts “eforea: spa at Hilton”

Another major international hotel chain has projected a new brand at the Chinese market, this time focused specifically on wellness. The “eforea: spa at Hilton” brand was unveiled on Friday at the Hilton Guangzhou Tianhe. It’s the first of two eforea spas to open in China this year. The 836 sq m spa features “eight treatment rooms, reflexology and massage pods, a Vichy shower room and an outdoor infinity-edged swimming pool”. Other features include an ice fountain, sauna and steam and hydro pool. eforea debuted in October 2010 as Hilton Hotels & Resorts’ first branded spa concept, with spas using the name opening at hotels in the US, Australia, New Zealand, Thailand and Azerbaijan.
As previously reported, the China hotel market is projected to grow by 5-8% a year by 2030, while the number of domestic travellers in China is expected to reach 3.3 billion in 2015.
