Eat and drink and be entertained as much as you want
Themed cruises of all kinds have been a rising trend of late. Now there will be voyages for food and alcohol lovers. Guests sailing aboard Norwegian Sky in 2016 and beyond will enjoy free dining, entertainment – and unlimited beer, wine and premium spirits throughout their cruise, Norwegian Cruise Line has announced.
Starting in January, all passengers will get an all-inclusive cruise experience. Whether they choose white or red, shaken or stirred, on the rocks or straight up, Norwegian Sky guests will be able to “revel in the freedom and flexibility of the most inclusive contemporary cruise holiday at sea”, the company says.
“We’re taking Freestyle Cruising to the next level,” said Andy Stuart, Norwegian Cruise Line’s president and chief operating officer. “Norwegian Sky guests will have the freedom to enjoy a cruise holiday the way they desire – whether it’s lounging by the pool with a margarita, having a laugh at a comedy show, catching up on their favourite book on their balcony, or indulging in fine dining – all included in their cruise fare.”
The line promises “innovative cocktails curated by the award-winning mixologists from Miami’s Bar Lab, wines by the glass and bottled or draft beer up to $11”. For these, passengers must be at least 21 years old at time of sailing. Those aged from three to 20 will have unlimited sodas and juices.
The ship’s facilities including speciality restaurants, the spa and shore excursions are also included.
Norwegian Sky sails “port-packed three- and four-night roundtrip cruises from Miami to the Bahamas year-round”, including Great Stirrup Cay, Norwegian’s private island in the Bahamas.
