Over-the-top perks include Porsche drives, fashion butlers
More luxury hotels are adding unique and eye-catching free perks to attract high-paying guests.
People staying in the hacienda-style rooms of Rancho Valencia near San Diego, for example, are offered a complimentary test drive of any of three different Porsche models during their stay: a 911 convertible, a Panamera Hybrid, and a Cayenne GTS.
The cars are available for up to four hours a day, on a first-come, first-serve basis. Guests can then talk to the Porsche-certified concierge if they want to drive one home.
At the Mandarin Oriental Miami, guests can consult the “fashion butler”, who can arrange and match clothing for the evening or go on a personal shopping experience through Miami’s boutiques.
At the iconic luxury hotel Four Seasons George V in Paris, guests can learn how to make expertly crafted cocktails in a private lesson led by the head barman.
Guests wealthy enough to afford an Underwater Suite at Atlantis, The Palm Hotel & Resort, Dubai, not only get floor-to-ceiling views of a lagoon with more than 65,000 fish and other sea life, but also a dining room, butler service, airport transfers, head-neck-shoulder massages, 30-minute personal training sessions, Dolphin Encounters at Dolphin Bay, and unlimited access to Atlantis’ aquarium and waterpark.
