Lufthansa strike-related travel chaos continues

Passengers face more cancellations on Tuesday
The cabin crew strikes at Lufthansa continue into a fourth day on Tuesday, with 136 flights cancellations for the day already announced on Monday evening due to affect 27,300 passengers.
Tuesday’s cancellations mainly affect Dusseldorf as well as some long-haul flights from Munich and Frankfurt.
A new offer made by the airline, raising one-off payments from €2,000 to €3,000 and retreating from a suggestion that early retirement should be increased from the current minimum age of 55 to 56, was immediately rejected by the union.
The cabin crew union UFO reaffirmed the strikes would continue until Friday but added that negotiations were not ruled out. As reported, 929 Lufthansa flights were cancelled on Monday.
