Lufthansa Group’s stake reduced from 7.61 to 4%
Lufthansa Group has raised €307 million by successfully selling 16.2 million shares in Amadeus IT Holding SA, representing 3.61% of the shares in the Madrid-based global distribution system and IT solutions company. Accordingly, Lufthansa’s stake in Amadeus will be reduced from 7.61% to 4%.
With this step Lufthansa Group says it is further pursuing the active management of its portfolio and “strengthening its liquidity position”.
At the same time, Air France-KLM is selling 1.66% of Amadeus share capital, reducing its stake to 2.68% of the company.
Lufthansa, Iberia and Air France-KLM – all of which are shareholders in Amadeus – have each agreed to a lock-up period of 90 days for their respective remaining holdings.
