But isolated flight irregularities may still occur
Lufthansa says that an early shift has been on duty at German airports today and “only minimal disruption” is expected over the coming days following Monday’s massive strike action.
After around 1,700 flight cancellations on Monday due to the widespread strike called by the Verdi union, Lufthansa expects to return to a near-normal schedule. However, isolated irregularities may still occur and Lufthansa is advising all passengers to check the status of their flight in good time before setting off for the airport on the Lufthansa website under the headings “Current flight information” or “My bookings”.
The strike caused severe disruption to the airline’s flight operations. Virtually all domestic German and intra-European flights had to be cancelled. In all, about 150,000 passengers were affected by the strike action. The 12 long-haul and about 30 medium-haul flights that were published in a special timetable were, however, operated as planned.
