TAL Aviation Nordic appointed representative
TAL Aviation Nordic has been appointed the IBCS representative for LAM Mozambique Airlines, which has the two-letter code TM, in Sweden, Norway, Iceland and Denmark, including Greenland.
This means that travel agencies approved by the International Air Transport Association in those countries can now issue 068 documents on this airline directly through their GDSs.
LAM Mozambique Airlines was founded in 1936 as DETA, changing to its present name in 1980.
LAM destinations in Mozambique include Maputo, Beira, Inhambane, Nampula, Tete, Chimoio and Vilanculos, where, in the airline’s words, “a variety of unique landscapes, beaches and vibrant and historic cities can be explored”.
Among its international destinations are Johannesburg, Cape Town, Luanda, Nairobi, Kilimanjaro, Zanzibar, Addis Ababa and Lisbon. LAM uses a fleet of Boeing, Bombardier and Embraer aircraft.
LAM says it considers safety, security, quality and environment as its main priorities in its operations. Its goal is “to make the customer’s travel as enjoyable, comfortable and safe as possible”.
