More than 30 flights cancelled today as talks continue
Following days of cancelled flights and reports of unpaid airport bills, struggling airline Kingfisher pledged today that it promised that its flights would be restored in the next five to seven days. As shares fell by a further 20% today, the company’s top managers are meeting aviation regulators to discuss ways of ending the chaos brought about by such large-scale disruptions. More than 30 flights are cancelled today and the carrier is operating at less than half capacity. The airline’s bank account has been frozen due to non-payment of taxes. But the airline says it is talking to banks for further funding.
