Five-star Kempinski Hotel Cathedral Square in Vilnius, Lithuania celebrated its third anniversary this year. The luxurious hotel, managed by Kempinski Hotels, one of the oldest European luxury hotel chains, opened after extensive renovation in 2012 in the heart of Vilnius Old Town.
This year, Kempinski Hotel Cathedral Square had the pleasure to welcome the CEO of Kempinski Hotels Mr Alejandro Bernabe, who took part in the celebration, as well as Vilnius Mayor Mr Remigijus Šimašius.
During the event, the first pop-up chocolate lab in Europe was introduced. Local chocolate manufacturer and producer Chocolate Naive established and moved its chocolate laboratory into the lobby of Kempinski Hotel Cathedral Square, where the chocolate was made, produced and served alongside other Kempinski delicacies.
During the second year of operations, Kempinski Hotel Cathedral Square was named one of the “Top 25 Hotels in Europe” and “Top 25 Luxury Hotels in Europe” by TripAdvisor®, the world’s largest travel site. In addition, Kempinski Hotel Cathedral Square was nominated the Nr.1 hotel in Lithuania.
This year, Kempinski Hotel Cathedral Square continued its beehive initiative on the roof of the hotel, as it became home to the second Kempinski Bee Suite, a half-contained beehive with around 30,000 inhabitants. The beehive was added to the first beehive implemented in 2014. Both beehives established eventually produced around 60 Kg of natural raw honey for the hotel and restaurant guests
