Airline to commence stalled route from July
Japan Airlines will start operating a route between Tokyo Narita and Helsinki on July 1 this year, with daily flights between the two capitals. Originally the opening of the route was timed for February but it was postponed due to the grounding of Boeing’s 787 Dreamliner aircraft.
This means that Helsinki Airport will have four flights a day to Japan from July as Finnair also operates daily flights to Tokyo. Osaka and Nagoya are also on Finnair’s list of daily destinations.
Helsinki Airport is Europe’s fourth biggest airport regarding air traffic between Japan and Europe.
