Jamie Oliver brings Scandic summer touch

Scandic hotels sharpen their food and beverage focus

Continuing what it says has been its successful partnership with world-famous chef Jamie Oliver, Scandic is now presenting a new summer menu and kids’ menu. The dishes will be served at all 156 hotels across the Nordic region, starting June 24.
The partnership with the British chef has been running since 2009, allowing Scandic guests to “enjoy specially composed dishes of high quality that make best use of seasonal produce”. One new bistro-style concept is called Kitchenbar, created for roadside hotels, offering nutritious Swedish and international food and “to take up the fight against the uninspiring offerings that travellers usually have to endure”.
However, the new summer menu includes hot and cold-smoked salmon, a chocolate pot with local summer berries, “Jamie’s Favourite Pizza” with ten different vegetables, spinach and melted mozzarella, as well as burgers, meatballs and BBQ Chicken.
