TTG Asia Media says most buyers were new participants
The 20th anniversary of IT&CMA (Incentive Travel & Conventions, Meetings Asia) and 15th anniversary of CTW (Corporate Travel World) Asia-Pacific, held from 2 to 4 October at the Bangkok Convention Centre, offered a new level of travel industry business, education and networking opportunities. It featured around 16,500 business appointments between 325 exhibiting companies and 497 MICE buyers and corporate travel managers. As many as 63% of buyers were new participants at the event.
“Procuring new, quality buyers is something we strive to do every year, with a good degree of success,” Darren Ng, managing director of TTG Asia Media, said. “We consistently achieve about 50% new participants annually. This year, however, our focused buyer engagement efforts have yielded 63% new buyers at the show.”
As a consequence, more than 85% of exhibitors expect orders up to $750,000 in value, six to 12 months after the event.
More than 90% of attending delegates have already pledged to return to the show in 2013, taking advantage of early-bird registration. IT&CMA and CTW Asia-Pacific will be held in Bangkok on 1 to 3 October.
