$6 million new-build hotel adds to growing IHG portfolio in Veracruz
XALAPA, Ver. – InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG), one of the world’s leading hotel companies, has announced the opening of a five-story, 110-room Holiday Inn Express® Xalapa hotel in Veracruz, Mexico. The city is rich in history and has a renowned cultural center dating back to the 19th century. Today the city hosts the prestigious Veracruz Cultural Institute and the University of Veracruz, which is home to one of the top-ranked symphony orchestras in the country. This is the tenth IHG®-branded hotel for Veracruz, which is currently home to two Crowne Plaza® hotels, five Holiday Inn® hotels, one Holiday Inn Express hotel and a Hotel Indigo® hotel.

The hotel is located inside the Plaza Variedades shopping center, offering access to multiple levels of underground parking and a multi-purpose hall and event space capable of seating up to 400 people.
