AEA says Icelandair wins during month of September
Icelandair was Europe’s most punctual airline for international flights in September, the Association of European Airlines says. The Icelandic carrier was the most punctual of all airlines in long-haul flights during the month, with a 92.5% on-time performance, and also topped the list in medium and short-range flights with a 93.9% on-time performance. Out of 25 international airlines measured, 93.5% of Icelandair’s flights were on time, putting them in first place.
“Good on-time performance is an essential part of Icelandair’s service and it is always a pleasure to get a confirmation on how well we are doing in comparison with larger and better-known airlines in Europe,” Birkir Hólm Guðnason, CEO of Icelandair, said. “We have expanded our network recently through our hub in Keflavik and our staff carried out the task brilliantly.”
