Iberia Christmas strikes cancelled

“Customers may look forward to travelling without problems”

Unions in Spain have cancelled the Iberia strikes they had planned during the busy Christmas travel period. No agreement between the unions and airline management has been reached, but after the two sides met this week the unions agreed to call off the strike, which had been planned for December 14 and 17-21.
Iberia said in a statement: “Though the opportunity to move forward was missed, the meeting could be another step towards future negotiations. […] Iberia is pleased that its customers may now look forward to travelling without problems, though it regrets the damage already caused to the company’s public image and to its business.”
