Norwegian shipyard to build the new vessels
Hurtigruten has placed an order for two new 600-passenger ships for deliveries in 2018 and 2019. The deal includes an option for two additional vessels.
The Norwegian ferry and cruise line operates a number of vessels along the coast of Norway as well as in expedition regions. Kleven Verft, a shipyard in Norway, will build the new ships.
The vessels are being designed by Rolls-Royce, which provides an integrated small-ship platform for cruise lines that can be scaled.
