New website offers free solution

Jet Lag Rooster is a new website created by regular long-distance traveller and university professor Jay Olson aimed at people exhausted and frustrated by jet lag. It offers a free-of-charge solution to anyone visiting the site based on strategic exposure to light.
The website invites you to enter your trip itinerary, the times you usually go to sleep and wake up, and whether you’d like to start changing your sleep schedule before you leave or after you arrive. It then calculates the best times for you to seek and avoid light.
Sunlight works best for the strategic times it suggests for light exposure, but a portable light box can also help. Time to avoid light means closing curtains, shutting off lights or wearing a sleep mask.
