Carlton Oslo Hotel Guldsmeden is awarded certificate

In recognition of its efforts to continuously improve sustainability and social and environmental values, the Carlton Oslo Hotel Guldsmeden has become the first hotel in Norway to achieve Green Globe certification. Represented in 83 countries, US-based Green Globe Certification is a worldwide sustainability system based on international criteria for the sustainable operation of travel and tourism businesses.
As part of its sustainability management plan, energy goals are strictly monitored at the Carlton Oslo Hotel Guldsmeden. The property’s zero-impact policy encourages guests to support a carbon-neutral stay, and the hotel works only with suppliers that follow sustainable and fair trade practices. All food and drink served is organic, and all bathroom and cleaning products are certified and eco-labelled. Local suppliers often bring their products in crates and cases that can be reused or returned. And to keep waste at a minimum, a “Love Food, Hate Waste food saving program is promoted among guests.
