New ship to launch and early-booking benefits for passengers
Holland America Line has launched its 2016-17 collection, featuring new ship Koningsdam and early-booking benefits for passengers, TTG Digital reports.
Customers booking one of its winter cruises by October 31 will receive special “Explore 4” benefits, featuring four offers including a free signature beverage package, free dinner at the Pinnacle Grill steakhouse, reduced third and fourth person fares and 50% reduction on the deposit.
Meanwhile, passengers booking a Vista, Signature, Neptune or Pinnacle suite will get an additional $300 on-board credit per stateroom and a free dinner at Holland America Line’s Italian restaurant, Canaletto.
The brochure also features the line’s new vessel Koningsdam, due to be the first new ship of any major line to cruise Europe next year. It will sail the Mediterranean and the Iberian coast from Rome on her maiden voyage, before homeporting in Amsterdam over the summer.
From there it will sail to the Baltic, Norway and Iceland, with a Christening cruise ending on May 20 in Rotterdam where the ship will be officially named.
Holland America will also operate seven ships in Alaska in summer 2016, with Nieuw Amsterdam deployed in the region for the first time offering seven-night Inside Passage cruises from Vancouver.
Eight of the line’s ships will offer seven-to-16 night Caribbean cruises from October 2016 to April 2017, while summer 2016 will see Veendam sailing between Boston and Montreal.
Other highlights include sailings to Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific, as well as four China and Japan cruises from Tokyo or Hong Kong.
The line’s new program of Grand Voyages additionally features a 111-night Grand World Voyage, a 67-night Grand South America and Antarctica sailing, and a 56-night Grand Mediterranean itinerary.
