Businesses in Swedish capital pay five times less than those in New York

Stockholm is one of the most expensive cities in the world for tourists. But it is also the cheapest city in Europe for high-speed broadband access, according to a new report. The survey, conducted on behalf of the City of Stockholm, compared 12 cities around the world on what companies pay for 100 Mbit bandwidth. Businesses in the Swedish capital pay EUR 568 per month – around five times less than companies in New York or Berlin. Singapore was the cheapest of all the cities surveyed (EUR 381 per month), but businesses in Seoul and New York pay EUR 1,876 and EUR 2,218.
More than 90% of Swedes use the Internet on a regular basis, a rate that is among the highest in the world.
