British airline bmi regional is creating a new hub at Birmingham Airport, central England, and launching three European routes from the UK’s second city. The routes to Gothenburg as well as to Nuremburg and Graz will start soon and tickets go on sale today.
The Gothenburg and Nuremberg routes will launch on May 8, with six return flights per week, while Graz will commence on February 27, initially with a twice weekly service increasing to four times weekly in March.
bmi regional says that the “new destinations from the Midlands will offer exciting opportunities for customers looking for a new and inspiring experiences in 2017”.
“Just two hours’ flying time from Birmingham, Gothenburg is Sweden’s second city and remains a popular mini-break destination thanks to its fabulous food, eclectic culture and vibrant nightlife,” the airline says.
