South and Central America tours see double-digit growth
Global, the worldwide family of tourism brands, says that tours and independent packages in South and Central America have seen double-digit growth in the last year. Globus announced its 2013 program, saying it has enhanced its portfolio with many itinerary updates. “South America is one of the hottest destinations in the world right now,” says Scott Nisbet, Globus’ president and CEO.
Clients are increasingly demanding personal insights and experiences into different cultures, the company says. With this in mind, it is providing travellers with seven updated tours in South America and 35 tour combinations. New for 2013 is the eight-day Peru Splendours, where clients can experience a local Peruvian food market in Lima, ancient Incan ruin exploration, a visit to a local home, taking part in a Mother Earth ceremony, riding a train through the Urumbamba Valley and spending two days in Machu Picchu.
