Higher profile for Key West, Key Largo and other islands

The popular leisure destinations Florida Keys and Key West are now represented in Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Finland by Atlantic Link, who will be in charge of all PR activities and media relations in the region.

“The Nordic region is USA’s fourth largest European market”, Karin Gert Nielsen, Atlantic Link’s managing director, explains, “and Florida is one of the most visited states.”

The Florida Keys are a string of coral reef islands stretching from Key Largo south of Miami into the Atlantic Ocean to Key West in the Mexican Gulf. The islands are divided into five regions, each with its own special characteristics of history, water sports, shopping and culture.

“The cigar industry and Hemingway are very much alive in the Florida Keys,” Nielsen continues. “We see a huge potential for Scandinavian and Finnish travellers.”
