New routes between Helsinki and Norway aimed at Asian visitors
Finnair has revealed it will open new routes between Helsinki and both Bergen and Tromsø in Norway in May next year, helping to connect these Nordic regions to Finnair’s Asian network.
The routes will be operated by the Norwegian regional airline Widerøe, with the flights sold and marketed by Finnair. The onboard service will be based on the Finnair dual class service concept.
Bergen-Helsinki will be a daily service starting May 15, with Widerøe’s new Embraer 190-E2 aircraft, and the schedule will link up with Finnair’s Asian flights as well as to Finnair’s European network. Finnair will also continue to fly to Bergen via Stockholm.
Tromsø-Helsinki will take place once a week on Saturdays, with the schedule also connecting to Finnair’s Asian and European flights.
“The Nordics are attracting more and more travellers, and we believe our Asian customers will appreciate these additions to our extensive network,” explains Juha Järvinen, Finnair’s chief commercial officer.
