Estonian company ups its stake in the busy gulf
Estonian firm Lindaliin (Linda Line) is raising its stake in the busy sea connection between Helsinki and Tallinn, to compete better with Tallink Silja, Viking Line and Eckerö.
Lindaliin operates express ferries on the route and has now added to its number of daily trips, reaching a total of 12.
Since Monday, two fast catamarans, Merilin and Karolin, have been operating between the two capitals six times a day in each direction and are expected to carry 300,000 passengers a year.
“Our customers usually travel to Helsinki for work, and for them a fast and comfortable boat service is important,” said Enn Rohula, head of Lindaliin, adding that the operator offered the fastest connection between Tallinn and Helsinki.
