Europe’s most expensive ski resorts listed

Ischgl in Tyrol region stands out as most expensive

The most expensive ski destinations in Europe have been revealed, with the priciest of them all located in Austria. A new survey by TravelMag.com compares all the major European ski resorts based on the cost of accommodation.

Specifically, the survey states the price a guest will have to pay, on average, to stay in the cheapest available double room during this upcoming February and March, the high season for ski tourism.

Ischgl, a resort located in Austria’s Tyrol region, clearly stands out as the most expensive at an average of €346 per night. Runners up on the survey are Val d’Isere in the Savoy region of France and Ischgl’s neighbour St Anton.

Austria and France are home to almost every destination in the top 15, the only exception being Verbier in southwest Switzerland. Here are the top 10:

1. Ischgl (Austria) €346

2. Val-d`Isere (France) €326

3. St. Anton (Austria) €323
