Turkish Airlines flight from Istanbul to New York evacuated
A Turkish Airlines flight from Istanbul to New York made an emergency landing in Copenhagen yesterday when a suspicious object was discovered on board, putting CPH on security alert.
The decision was made to land when no one claimed the object, which eventually turned out to be a camera, as their own. At Copenhagen Airport, the plane was evacuated and moved to an isolated area so that a bomb disposal team could inspect it.
Besides the camera nothing else suspicious was found and the plane was returned to the captain. Other flights in and out of the Danish capital were not affected.
