Hossam Kamal, Minister of Civil Aviation of Egypt, said that all Egyptian airports apply international standards in airport security measures.
These measures are audited regularly by Egyptian Civil Aviation Authority, international organizations and bilateral audit teams from USA and UK.
The minister explained that the hypothesis of detonating the Russian aircraft is not based on facts, the investigation team does not have yet any evidence or data confirming this hypothesis. He added that Egypt is keen on the accuracy and integrity of the investigation of the incident to conclude the facts to the world in order to ensure the safety and security of global aviation.
There are 23 flights from Russia operating today to Sharm El Shiekh, 8 from Ukraine, 3 from Italy, 1 from Turkey, 2 from Saudi Arabia, one from Jordan, one from Belgium.
