Leading Asian hospitality group Dusit International has confirmed that it plans to open a third hotel in the Philippines in 2019. The dusitD2 Residence on the island of Cebu will join its recently refurbished flagship property in the Philippines capital, the Dusit Thani Manila, and the Dusit Princess NAIA Gardens Manila, set to open in 2017.
The dusitD2 Residence Cebu City is Dusit’s second development with the developer Grand Land, Inc. The hotel will be located close to the city’s business district, IT Park, and the Cebu Golf and Country Club within the developer’s multi-tower condominium development, Grand Residences Cebu. A separate entrance and lobby will lead guests to the 160 serviced residences, with facilities also including an all-day dining restaurant, gym, pool and meeting rooms.
Rustom Vickers, Vice President of Development, Dusit International, said: “We are very pleased to collaborate on our second project with Grand Land Inc., bringing a dusitD2 to Cebu. We believe this vibrant brand is well suited to the exciting growth of the area and that Dusit’s signature gracious hospitality will enliven the experience of both guests and residents of the dusitD2 Residence Cebu City.”
Ryan D. Go, President of Grand Land, Inc. added: “Dusit’s hospitality is similar to our Cebuano hospitality – very warm and welcoming. We wanted to bring an international hotel brand known for its exceptional service within our master planned development to complement the experience we will offer each guest.”
dusitD2 is Dusit International’s “next generation” hotel brand, catering to international travellers seeking cutting-edge design, high-tech connectivity and efficient convenience in settings that are contemporary, colourful and chic. As the first branded serviced residences in Cebu city, guests and residents can expect to enjoy Dusit’s signature Thai hospitality with a modern touch.
