Dubai targets families in new campaign


Kids can stay for free at Dubai‘s leading hotels

To better communicate its potential as a summer destination, Dubai is launching what it calls “Summer is Dubai”, a three-month campaign from June 7 to September 7. The objective is to show to tourists Dubai’s leisure and tourism attractions, showcasing the “scope of its events, world-class infrastructure, hassle-free entry to the country and ease of transportation”, as well as its air-conditioned hotels, shopping malls, water parks and climate controlled indoor skiing.
The marketing campaign aims to position the city as “the region’s ultimate family-tourism destination”. It is part of efforts to double visitor numbers to Dubai to 20 million by 2020.
There are a number of promotions, the most eye-catching being leading hotels giving families who check in for a minimum three-night stay the offer of two children under the age of 12 to stay for free, including complimentary breakfast, lunch and dinner.
