He travels more than 100 metres before being seen on x-ray
An inebriated tourist from Norway lay down with his bags on the luggage belt at Rome’s busy Fiumicino Airport and fell asleep. He travelled more than 100 metres on the belt before his curled-up shape was spotted on an x-ray machine, according to a story in the UK newspaper the Daily Telegraph.
The 36-year-old unnamed man reportedly fell asleep at the airline check in. Once seen, it apparently took a long time for officials to wake him up. The Norwegian had been exposed to powerful airport security x-rays, but he did not suffer any serious injury. Incidents like this occur surprisingly frequently – about once a year according to one official.
