From the 5th – 8th February one of Denmark’s top culinary chefs will be cooking up a Thai storm at Eastern Mangroves Hotel & Spa by Anantara at its signature Thai restaurant Pachaylen as part of Gourmet Abu Dhabi, the annual food festival running in the city from 4th to 19th February 2014.
During the festival our hotel in Abu Dhabi will be offering a set menu for AED 450++ per person, which includes dinner at Pachaylen, diners can enjoy mouth-watering Thai dishes created with Chef Henrik’s signature twist such as his famed Kiin Kiin dish of frozen red curry with lobster salad, followed by scallops with tamarind and lemongrass, as well as his banana cake served with salted ice cream and pineapple sorbet.
Having originally trained in French culinary art, Chef Henrik fell for Thai cuisine whilst on holiday in Thailand. His appearance at our Abu Dhabi luxury hotel will be his first in the Middle East, and the Danish celebrity chef commented that he is particularly looking forward to experiencing legendary Arabian hospitality. He said, ‘You know a reputation for honouring a guest is something that Thailand shares with Arabia, so it will be a great experience to celebrate Thai hospitality in a destination renowned for its hospitality and warm culture’.
