Europe’s sixth largest carrier to become full member on March 20
It has been confirmed that Air Berlin, Europe’s sixth biggest carrier, will become a full member of the oneworld alliance from March 20. Niki, an Austrian airline, will become an affiliate oneworld member at the same time.
Later this year, Air Berlin will transfer all of its operations to the new hub airport Berlin Brandenburg after the airport opens in summer. Air Berlin brings almost 70 destinations to the oneworld map, extending the alliance’s global coverage to 840 destinations in 150 countries.
