Langeland saves four people who capsized in small boat
A Danish ferry, the Langeland, saved four Dutch tourists who had capsized in a small boat off the coast of north Zealand near Rudkjøbing yesterday.
Police got a report about the capsized ship at 08:08. The tourists were reported to be in good health after spending about 15 minutes in the water.
“When we received the report, we called on all ships in the area to assist and got a message from the Langeland ferry that it had spotted the four tourists,” said a Danish Defence spokesperson. “They were then picked up and are all in good health.”
It was not known if the four were taking an alternative route to reach Stockholm to see Ajax Amsterdam play Manchester United in the Europa League final last night.
