Copenhagen Airport beats record already in November
More people had flown via CPH by the end of November than in the whole of last year, the airport is reporting, taking the total number of passengers towards 27 million.
There were 5.2% more passengers at Copenhagen Airport in November (2,176,356) than in the same month last year, ensuring that last year’s record total of 26.6 million was broken in November.
In all, 26,963,608 people passed through the airport in the first 11 months of the year, 9.3% more than in the same period in 2015 – domestic traffic up 6.3%, European up 9.2%, intercontinental up 11.1%.
The long-haul, intercontinental routes are experiencing high growth, with 15.2% more people flying outside Europe in November and 11.2% more during the year so far. But London is again the most popular destination with more than 210,000 passengers travelling there during the month.
