Thomas Cook Airlines Scandinavia likely to integrate

Thomas Cook is to merge a number of its airline divisions into one, as it continues to restructure businesses across the group. From March 1, Condor (the operator’s airline brand in Germany), Thomas Cook Airlines UK and Thomas Cook Airlines Belgium will become one airline segment within the group. Thomas Cook Airlines Scandinavia will not immediately be part of the new structure but says it will explore “ways to integrate more fully in the medium term.”
The airlines will be led by a new management board, chaired jointly by Condor’s chief executive, Ralf Teckentrup, and Christoph Debus, Thomas Cook Group’s air travel chief. The board will also include Torben Østergaard, chief executive of Thomas Cook Airlines Scandinavia, as well as Paul Horstink, head of group maintenance, and Nikolaus Kirner, Thomas Cook Group’s procurement director.
The new airline board has appointed Cor Vrieswijk to be the new chief operating officer of Thomas Cook Airlines UK from March 1.
