First aircraft with new premium economy and long-haul economy seats
The first aircraft with Cathay Pacific Airways’ new premium economy class and long-haul economy class seats has been delivered to the airline at Hong Kong International Airport. The new Boeing 777-300ER has completely new premium economy seats with a pitch of 97cm, which recline further and feature a 10.6-inch personal TV screen, in-seat power outlet, multi-port connector for personal devices and a large meal table. There will be between 26 and 34 premium economy class seats on each plane. Passengers get additional perks such as priority check-in and boarding, bigger baggage allowance, bigger pillows, noise-cancelling headsets, champagne on boarding and an improved onboard meal selection.
Premium economy is to be featured on Cathay flights to Sydney, Toronto, Vancouver and New York from April 1, and later to London, Adelaide, Los Angeles, Melbourne, San Francisco, Frankfurt, Brisbane and Mumbai by the end of the year.
