Two variously branded hotels under one roof open in Oslo
Hotel giant Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group says it is the first to open a dual branded hotel in the Nordic countries – the Radisson Blu Hotel Oslo Alna and the Park Inn by Radisson Hotel & Conference Centre Oslo Alna.
The two hotels under one roof have 348 rooms and suites. The “upper upscale” Radisson Blu features 142 rooms and the mid-market Park Inn by Radisson has 206 rooms. The hotels’ Betula Restaurant, Birk Lobby Bar, lounges and reception are shared.
“Combining Radisson Blu and Park Inn by Radisson under one roof is a brilliant concept,” Olav Brommeland, the properties’ general manager, proclaims. “We have put a lot of soul in the facilities to ensure our guests have the best hospitality experience.”
The hotel group says that Norwegian nature was a major inspiration in the design of hotels and it has been incorporated throughout the building to give guests the feeling of being in the sereneness of the Norwegian forest.
Both hotels will focus mainly on conferences. With meeting facilities of 2,000 square metres and capacity to host up to 800 delegates, the Radisson Blu and Park Inn feature “Oslo’s most advanced MICE facilities”.
