British Airways urges cabin crew against two-day walkout
British Airways is reassuring its customers that they will be able to fly on Tuesday and Wednesday, despite some cabin crew going on strike.
The union Unite is calling the 48-hour stoppage from January 10 in protest over pay for 2,500, or 15% of total BA cabin crew, who work under ‘mixed fleet’ employment terms.
British Airways says that all flights to and from London Gatwick and London City will operate normally, but some Heathrow flights will be “merged”. Passengers are to be notified and offered alternatives.
The airline continues to urge its striking flight attendants not to stop work, adding it is available for further dialogue with the union.
