Talks resume between union and airline
The union Unite says that the four-day strike some of British Airways’ cabin crew timed for this coming weekend has been put on hold as talks resume.
The union and the airline are now holding discussions at ACAS, a state-run advisory, conciliation and arbitration service.
The strike by mixed-fleet flight attendants had been planned to start this Friday. BA said the action was “completely unnecessary”, but Unite emphasised that the employees who had taken part in previous strikes were being punished by having their travel benefits taken away.
