Australian airports on alert after bomb plot

Plot may have involved a meat grinder and poisonous gas
Passengers at Australian airports are being told to arrive an hour earlier due to heightened security, following a suspected terror plot to bring down a plane.
The new security measures have led to long queues, especially at busier airports such as Sydney and Melbourne. Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull warned the measures could be in place for some time.
Four men were arrested in raids on homes and properties in Sydney over the weekend. Police say they found materials to make an explosive device.
The men are allegedly linked to an Islamist-inspired plan to detonate an improvised bomb. Media reports say the plot may have involved a kitchen meat grinder and poisonous gas. Officially, details on the specific attack, location or date have not been released.
