Another ash cloud stops Bali flights

This time the ash is from Indonesia’s Mt Rinjani
Flights to and from Bali are being cancelled again due to drifting ash, this time from Mt Rinjani, positioned east of the Indonesian holiday island. Some flights to and from Lombok are reported to also not be operating.
The risk of the ash interfering with planes’ engines meant that Bali’s Denpasar Airport was closed on Tuesday, while flights operated by airlines such as Virgin Australia, Jetstar and Air Asia are cancelled today. Travellers are being told to check their flights online.
The episode is a repeat of what happened in July, when thousands of people were stranded on Bali for several days. But that was due to ash from a different volcano, east of Denpasar.
