InterContinental Hotels Group goes on worldwide recruitment drive
Already having 4,500 hotels and 666,000 hotel rooms around the world isn’t enough for IHG. With the industry’s biggest development pipeline – around 1,100 hotels with more than 180,000 rooms – in progress, the group is opening new properties around the world at the rate of one a day, on average.
Such a program of expansion means that it needs to hire 400,000 people, using Taleo Recruiting software and its biannual Careers Week, over the next four years.
Claire Guberg, IHG’s global talent systems manager, summed up the kind of people they’re looking for. “We need people who are brand aware – what we call ‘brand-hearted’ – who can deliver our vision to our customers and our team so that our hotels are successful.
