Airplanes try to free up space for more seats
Plane toilets tend to be smallest in size than most. But recent examples in the airline industry show a new trend of toilet downsizing. And Air Canada’s new B777-300ERs (entering service this summer) is a good example of that.
Now Delta Airlines has ordered a newly designed toilet which is smaller and be installed on its B737-900s. This will make space for four additional seats in the economy class cabins.
The airline says that passengers will not notice the difference.
