Airbus to double A350 output next year

Airbus also considers more than 50 A320-family a month
Airbus says it is on target to deliver 15 of its new A350s this year, and it now aims to more than double this figure in 2016 as it focuses on its newest passenger aircraft.
The manufacturer also promised to break even on the A380 this year, despite delivering fewer than the 30 aircraft it had planned.
Posting better-than-expected first-half earnings, Airbus stressed that getting key projects up and running was the top priority.
Chief executive Tom Enders said he was “very confident” the company would take a decision this year on whether to raise production of A320-family aircraft beyond existing plans for 50 a month. News agency Reuters reports that some engine makers have warned Airbus and Boeing not to rush too quickly into extending what are already record output goals.
